Steven Bennett, Adjunct Faculty

Dr. Steve Bennett completed his graduate work at the University of Delaware in Inorganic Chemistry studying gas-phase reactions and computational studies of inorganic complexes. He began his career teaching at Shawnee State University in Ohio, before moving to Bloomsburg and Shippensburg Universities in Pennsylvania. Dr. Bennett then shifted into environmental consulting combining his extensive chemical knowledge with database management. He is currently the Senior Director of Scientific Affairs and Sustainability for Consumer Specialty Products Association and is responsible for managing the scientific and technical aspects of environmental, sustainability, health and safety related issues for the association. Dr. Bennett is at the forefront of the development and implementation of green chemistry regulations at the state and federal level. He also works closely with Environmental Protection Agency on chemical management under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) and air quality issues related to regulation of volatile organic compounds under the Clean Air Act.
