Rion Amilcar Scott won the prestigious PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize for Debut Fiction last year for his book of short stories, Insurrections. His work has appeared in publications such as The Kenyon Review, Crab Orchard Review, PANK, The Rumpus, Fiction International, The Washington City Paper, and The Toast, among others. His stories have earned places on the Wigleaf Top 50 (very short) Fictions in 2016 and 2013 and one of his essays was a “notable selection” in the 2015 Best American Essays.
