Mary Kay Zuravleff, Special Lecturer
Mary Kay Zuravleff is the author of two novels. The Bowl Is Already Broken, (Farrar, Straus & Giroux) and The Frequency of Souls (Picador), which won the Rosenthal Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the James Jones First Novel Award. She has written book reviews for the Washington Post since 1997. Many small magazines, including Gargoyle and The Washington Review, have published her short fiction, and her work is included in the anthology, Of Grace and Gravity.
She lives in Washington, DC, with her husband and two children. Besides Hopkins, her teaching posts include Goucher College, the University of Maryland, and George Mason University.
