Kyle Joyce, Adjunct Faculty

Kyle Joyce, Ph.D., is an adjunct faculty member in the Master of Science in Government Analytics program and teaches the course on Computational Modeling for Policy and Security Analysis. He is an expert in complex adaptive systems, quantitative political methodology, and international conflict. His recent research focuses on intervention in ongoing civil and international conflicts, international political networks, improving statistical modeling in bargaining contexts, and computational modeling.

Before joining the Program in Government Analytics, he was an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of California, Davis. He has received several grants from the National Science Foundation to research political networks with colleagues in political science, communication, and computer science. His research has appeared in Political Analysis, Political Research and Methods, the Journal of Peace Research, and the British Journal of Political Science.

He received a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Pennsylvania State University, an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Essex, and a B.S. in both Political Science and History from Eastern New Mexico University.
