Kerr Houston, Adjunct Faculty
Kerr Houston earned his PhD in art history from Yale University in 2001, and has taught art history and art criticism at MICA since 2002. He began teaching for the MLA program in 2016, and has deeply enjoyed the chance to work with a variety of talented and enthusiastic students.
He is the author of An Introduction to Art Criticism (Pearson, 2013), as well as more than forty articles on the histories of art and criticism; many of these are posted on his Academia page. He has also served as an instructor for MICA’s summer program in Venice since 2013, and has taught in both the Osher and Odyssey programs, in Baltimore.
