Elizabeth Levy, Adjunct Faculty
Elizabeth Levy has over 20 years of museum and project management experience, and is currently consulting on a broad range of publishing and digital projects. Through September 2014, she held the position of Managing Director, Publishing and Digital Media, at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. In this role, she led the museum’s print and digital publishing program including catalogues, international co-editions, e-books, apps, and the development of all multimedia content including audio guides, exhibition interactives, and videos. As part of a new initiative, Ms. Levy was responsible for the conceptualization and development of the Guggenheim app launched in 2013.
In 2011, Ms. Levy produced the museum’s first app and exhibition e-book for the exhibition Maurizio Cattelan: All. Also in 2011 she oversaw the design and development of the website for the BMW Guggenheim Lab. And in 2008, Ms. Levy spearheaded the relaunch of the Guggenheim’s website, enhancing its online offerings and increasing functionality.
She held previous positions at the Guggenheim, including Director of Publications and Website, Managing Editor, Manager of Foreign Editions, and Production Editor. Prior to joining the Guggenheim, Ms. Levy worked at various magazines, including Metropolitan Home, Interview, Contemporanea, and Glamour magazine. She received a B.A. in art history at Smith College.
