Danielle Leek, Adjunct Faculty
Danielle Leek, MBA, PhD is an instructor in the MA in communication program at Johns Hopkins University and Director of Professional Learning at Campus Compact, a national non-profit organization that works with colleges and universities to advance civic engagement and the public purposes of higher education. In her work Dr. Leek is responsible for leading research on engaged teaching and scholarship, managing a national Civic Action Planning process for campuses, and overseeing the development and marketing of Campus Compact’s publications.
Prior to joining Campus Compact, Danielle was Associate Professor of Communications at Grand Valley State University where she also served as the Executive Director of the award-winning campus Communication Center.
Danielle holds a PhD in Communication from the University of Iowa. Her research focuses on civic agency, civic education and political communication. Danielle also holds an MBA from Grand Valley State University, an M.A. in Communication from the University of Iowa and a B.S. in Speech Communication from Eastern Michigan University.
Danielle resides in Boston, MA.
