Alumni E-mail Alias: YourName@jhu.edu

It is important to note that your student email account continues to operate for several months post-graduation. However, the IT office at JHU periodically deactivates JHED accounts at which time you must transition your student email account to a lifetime alumni account. The alumni website is here.

To guarantee a smooth transition, we highly recommend that you proactively set up your alumni account prior to receiving the deactivation notification from JHU IT. To complete the process, please go to this link and follow the instructions. If you have questions or problems, please contact the JHU Alumni Office at alumni@jhu.edu.

Alumni Directory and Career Networking

Now there’s an even smarter way to network. There are 178,000 alumni out there and GoHopOnline is bringing everyone together. With GoHopOnline, it’s easier to advance your career, set up social events and help Johns Hopkins students and fellow alumni.

Alumni Tuition Benefit Program

AAP alumni are always welcome to register for courses in AAP. Having alumni in courses boosts the academic rigor, knowledge, and experience in the classroom. To promote this interaction and to provide opportunities for alumni to take courses they missed or that will help them remain current in their fields, AAP offers the Alumni Tuition Benefit Program. Interested alumni will select either a full-credit, full-tuition option or a non-credit, reduced-cost alumni benefit option. They will not be required to submit a resume, a writing sample, letters of recommendation, transcripts, or any other usual application materials. To register, alumni use the Alumni Registration Form so that we have updated information. Please contact aapregistration@jhu.edu for registration assistance.

Full-Tuition Option (with credit)

Alumni who have applied through the method noted above will be able to register for an approved course as a special student. Their registration will be processed in a timely manner during regulation registration or late registration. They will be in competition for seats along with current students (first-come, first-served). The course will appear with a grade on the transcript.

Space-Available Tuition Benefit (non-credit, audit)

Alumni interested in this option will be eligible for a 50 percent reduction in tuition in any course for which they qualify, on a space-available system, in a participating program. The course will appear with an “AU”, to indicate the audit status, on the transcript.

Qualification Required

In all cases above, alumni can enroll only in courses for which they qualify. A program may elect to limit the courses open to alumni or they may reserve a certain number of slots for current students.
