Johns Hopkins University Internet and Mobile Communication Project

The Johns Hopkins University Internet and Mobile Communication Project is a research and strategic development project affiliated with the Master of Arts in Communication program of the Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts and Sciences Advanced Academic Programs. Among its goals is the examination of how ubiquitous Internet access and mobile communication produces a more informed and empowered citizenry.

The Project has brought emerging strategies, technologies and experts onto campus for the benefit of students and the broader academic community. Starting in 2009 the Project will bring national telecommunications policy discussions to campus.

The Project was initiated by Adam J. Segal a faculty lecturer in the Communication Program. Segal designed and teaches the graduate-level Internet & Mobile Strategies course offered in Washington, DC and online.

Segal advises students, non-profits and businesses to take advantage of the rapidly changing Internet and mobile technologies. Outside Hopkins, Segal runs The 2050 Group a successful public relations agency.
