Johns Hopkins University Internet Project

The Johns Hopkins University Internet Project is a research and strategic development project affiliated with the Master of Arts in Communication program of the Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts and Sciences Advanced Academic Programs.

The project was initiated by Adam J. Segal a faculty lecturer in the Communication Program. Segal designed and teaches the graduate-level Internet Strategies course offered in Washington, DC and, soon, online.

Segal closely follows the changes in Internet marketing and advertising, with a particular focus on search engine advertising, such as through services offered by Google and Yahoo!, which is driving up revenues and advertising efficiency. He has tracked the rapid transition of corporate advertising dollars to the Internet and creative digital mediums.

Segal advises students and businesses to take advantage of the rapidly changing Internet technologies that allow video to be seamlessly integrated into websites. He is one of a handful of academics across the nation promoting the virtues of Video Blogs which he believes are transforming the way people share their personalities and experiences with others.
