Fulfillment of this plan cannot be guaranteed, but in recent years, plans have been overfulfilled. In case a course cannot be offered in the semester indicated, every effort will be made to offer it in the immediately following semester.

"Additional Electives" include Public Economics: Taxation, Macroeconomic Forecasting, Law & Economics, and Political Economy, which have been offered on a four to six semester cycle. Remaining electives have been offered acyclically. For a complete list of courses, see Course Descriptions.

Up to two courses at other Hopkins Programs will be approved if they are not substitutes for one of our own courses, but rather, are clear complements to your economic studies. If the instructor of the complementary course is a Ph.D. Economist, this is sufficient for approval, though it is not always necessary.
