William Spinard, Adjunct Faculty
Dr. Spinard serves as an adjunct faculty member at Johns Hopkins University and teaches the course Risk Management in the Public Sector.
Dr. Spinard recently retired from Ernst & Young, LLP where he was an Executive Director and one of the leaders in their insurance risk management practice. For the past 30 years he has been a consultant on risk management issues with a primary focus on the financial services industry. During this time he designed and managed a number of complex projects the areas of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), risk quantification and economic capital, operational risk, and corporate governance.
Dr. Spinard holds an MBA and a Ph.D. in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He also teaches graduate courses in risk management for Georgetown University and George Washington University.
