Sameer Rege, Adjunct Faculty
Sameer Rege is an independent consultant residing in Luxembourg. He specializes in mathematical modelling of economic and financial systems. In the economics domain he has linked CGE and energy models of Luxembourg. He has built partial equilibrium, general equilibrium, and agent bases models to analyze tax, trade, energy, and agriculture issues. In the finance domain he has worked on statistical distributions as a measure of risk of returns on financial assets. His past research and academic affiliations were at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology, the University of the Azores, and the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay. He has taught Microeconomic Theory to masters students.
He received his BE (Mechanical Engineering) from the Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute, India, and his PhD in Economics from the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, an advanced research institute set up by the Indian Central Bank, the Reserve Bank of India.
