Megan Tucker, Adjunct Faculty
Megan Tucker, PhD, serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Communication. She currently serves as the Academic Advisor for students in the School of Arts and Sciences at Marymount University in Arlington, VA. Megan has worked in higher education for almost a decade, working as a Communication faculty member at George Mason University and Northern Virginia Community College. She also has prior experience as an academic advisor at George Mason, and a project manager for the National Communication Association in Washington D.C. Megan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and English (Journalism) from Christopher Newport University. She went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Communication and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Higher Education with a Communication focus at George Mason University.
Megan’s research includes interpersonal and organizational communication, as well as student development and success, academic advising, student learning outcomes, and mediated communication.
