LaKesha Anderson, Adjunct Faculty

LaKesha Anderson, PhD, currently serves as the Assistant Director of Academic and Professional Affairs at the National Communication Association. In this position, she is responsible for the development of initiatives that support communication research, communication pedagogy, and careers in the communication discipline. She also engages in public policy advocacy efforts that support the work of association members as scholars and educators in the humanities and social sciences. Previously, Dr. Anderson served as an Assistant Professor of Communication at Indiana State University, teaching courses in health communication, research methods, and public relations. Her research has been published in several journals, edited books, and textbooks. She has been involved with non-profit work for more than 10 years, working with organizations in Southwest Virginia, Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Central Indiana.

Dr. Anderson earned her PhD in Communication from George Mason University.
