John Tambornino, Adjunct Faculty
John Tambornino, PhD has returned to the Washington Center for Advanced Governmental Studies to teach at the intersection of political theory and public policy. He is a senior policy analyst and former Director of Economic Support for Families in the Office of the Secretary, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, a former APSA Congressional Fellow, and has held a number of policy positions in past years covering a broad range of social insurance, social welfare, poverty and financial services issues. He has been faculty at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA and in JHU’s political science department.
He has a BA (Highest Honors) in philosophy and political science from Macalester College and a PhD in political science from JHU.
