James Outen, Adjunct Faculty

James Outen is an Economist at the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission where he has worked extensively on writing and implementing swaps regulations mandated by the Dodd-Frank Act. Earlier, he worked as a Regulatory Analyst at the Edison Electric Institute where he performed research on a broad number of regulatory and policy topics relating to the electric power industry.

James has a Master’s degree in Economics from George Mason University and is pursuing a doctoral dissertation concerning regulation in the electric power industry.
