Frank Weiss, Program Director, Sr. Lecturer

Frank Weiss has taught in the Applied Economics Program since 2000, and has been Program Director since 2006. He worked for many years at the Kiel Institute for World Economics in Germany, eventually as head of the research group on international trade policy. Subsequently, he was associate professor and area coordinator of international economics at SAIS’s Bologna Center, and then taught for some years as an adjunct. His areas of interest include international trade, public economics, and European labor markets and macroeconomies.

He received his PhD in Economics from the University of Kiel in Germany.
