Chan Le Thai, Adjunct Faculty
Chan Le Thai, PhD, MPH, earned her PhD from the Department of Communication at the University of California, Santa Barbara where her research focused on media literacy, measurement design, media effects, and health communication. She received her MPH at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health from the Department of Community Health Sciences where she focused on health promotion, evaluation, and school-based nutrition education programs. Dr. Thai is currently a Cancer Research Training Award post-doctoral fellow in the Health Communication and Informatics Research Branch at the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Thai has extensive experience with scale development and validation and conducting large-scale evaluations, and she has worked extensively with the Los Angeles Unified School District on their nutrition education messaging and interventions. She has also engaged in research related to palliative care, end of life communication, and the impact of video games on health.
She teaches Introduction to the Digital Age.
