Cathy Hailey, Adjunct Faculty

Cathy Hailey teaches Creative Writing for ninth through twelfth grade as part of the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts specialty program at Woodbridge Senior High School in Woodbridge, Virginia, where she is also the literary/art magazine sponsor.  She works with the Virginia High School League teaching magazine publication and creative writing classes at their workshops and judging for their contests.  The 2011 issue of Woodbridge High School’s award-winning literary/art magazine, Eddas Sterling, was the twenty-fifth issue she has guided students in producing. She has been a Teacher/Consultant with the Northern Virginia Writing Project since 1981, and was a long-time director of the NVWP Young Writers and Student Summer Institute programs. Cathy has an MA in English with a concentration in Professional Writing and Editing from George Mason University, and earned her A.B. (Artium Baccalaureus) in English from Duke University.
