Alexandra M. Merceron, Adjunct Faculty
Alexandra M. Merceron, ABD, is a PhD candidate in Communication at the University of Connecticut where her research focuses on new media and communication technology. She has also taught undergraduate, graduate and continuing education courses in communication at several colleges and universities, most recently at the University of Connecticut and Boston University.
Prior to entering academia, Alexandra worked in the media industry for more than 16 years, in management posts at The Boston Globe, New York Times Company, Harvard Business Review, AOL Time Warner, Harvard Education Publishing Group and Billboard Magazine. She holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Pace University in New York, and an MA in Integrated Marketing Communication from Emerson College in Boston. She teaches Media Effects.
