Ahmed Mahmud, Associate Program Director, Sr. Lecturer
Ahmed Mahmud is the Associate Program Director of Applied Economics. He has taught in the Applied Economics Program since Spring 2008, and currently teaches Microeconomics, Political Economy, and Economic Growth.
His research focuses on applying microeconomic theory in the fields of social networks and political economy. Previously, he has worked at Tufts University and University Maryland, Baltimore County. He obtained his PhD from Cornell University in 2005. He also has a Masters in Economics from York University, Canada. In his spare time, he is an avid film buff.
